The day after Christmas, I was pleasantly surprised to see that a poem I had written 12 years ago has been accepted for publication. Nice!
No, I didn’t try to get it published over and over again for the last 12 years. I had this feeling that it was too odd, too nichey, not something really poem-y enough. So I kind of forgot about it. Then, in a burst of “let’s send out all the publishable things” I sent it out in early November. And now it has a home.
